One phone

Move a book

This page only moves Focus or Align from one phone to another. The old phone loses that book. It does not touch anyone’s Google account or Apple ID.

A book you bought can be moved. A gifted book cannot. It stays on the phone that opened it. If a bought book is also on your tablet because of the same Apple or Google account, the tablet loses it too. The tablet does not keep a copy. The person who types the code does not get your login.

Both phones need wifi

Turn on wifi on both phones. Each one must be able to open the internet, not only show a wifi name. Open this page on both before you move anything.

I lost the device

Use this on the new phone, tablet, or computer. The old one does not have to be here. Enter any two of the three. If you paid cash, type cash instead of the last four. A gift cannot be recovered this way.

If you never chose your own, the passcode is the first three letters of your first name and the last three letters of your last name, in capitals. Curtis Edwards would be CURRDS. This page will not show the saved one. A gift does not have a passcode.

Change the passcode

This does not move the book. If you know the old passcode, type it, then type the new one twice. If you forgot it, use the receipt email and the last four. If you paid cash, type cash instead of the last four. Then type the new one twice.

Check if the transfer worked

Do this on the new phone before you type a code. If the book is already on that phone, stop. On your own phone or tablet, the book being here only means this is your one copy. The other device does not keep it after you move.

Move from this phone

Use these only after the check, and only when both phones are online. Your phone and your tablet both lose the book, even if the tablet got it from the same Apple or Google account. The tablet will not still have it.

On the new phone

Type the code from the old phone, then check this phone again.
